Teck Deck is a toy brand created in 1998 by spin master thanks to the popularity of fingerboards in the 90's.
At that time, Spin master realized the popularity of fingerboards, and had the vision to include logos and designs of real skate brands on the fingerboards, thus Tech Deck was born. Teck Decks are normally made of resin, but the brand later decided to release professional wooden fingerboards called "Wood Competition Series" and "Wooden Collector Series", made from 100% Canadian maple.
In addition to creating fingerboards, Tech Deck, like other brands, produces ramps to create a skatepark for fingerboards.
A very interesting Tech Deck product is the Tech Deck Dude, later changing its name to Tech Deck Dudes, which contain the characters of the skate brands or even professional skaters with his skates (smaller than a normal fingerboard).
Also for these characters there are special ramps.
On the other hand, Tech Deck has had 3 changes in its logo, the first being the simplest of all of them, consisting of the name in black and white, later it became a well-known logo, which had 2 variants, the first consisted of white curved letters with a red outline and the second with a paint stain behind, finally, Tech Deck changed its logo once again, which also has three variants, the first consists of white square letters with a black outline, in the second version the red outline was added and finaly in the third and new version the red lines were changed to strokes.
By 1999 Tech Deck was already a very important brand, that is how it decided to launch Flick Trix Fingerbickes, a series of half-inch (0.5") replicas of BMX bicycles, later changing its name to Tech Deck BMX.
Tech Deck, like other brands, has promoted fingerboarding, such is the case with the 2011 Tech Deck U. S. Fingerboarding Championship, which was presented by professional skateboarder Tony Hawk and the prize for the winner was 5,000 dollars.
