Burger King Mexico offers beer on its menu

In recent months Burger King has left us a lot to talk about, such is the case of the controversial kiss with Ronald McDonald with the campaign called "Love Conquers All" in Finland, the fact of looking for a Michelin star in Belgium and the trolling of McDonalds with the victory of the tennis player Rafa Nadal.

On this occasion, Burger King Mexico and Corona Cero beer announced an alliance yesterday, in which this famous fast food chain will offer the possibility of acquiring this brand's non-alcoholic beer in its beverage menu, turning Mexico into the first country in the region to incorporate this option.

This alliance was made with a promotion through which for an additional 12 pesos in a combo, customers can exchange a traditional drink for a can of Corona Cero. It´s currently only available in some restaurants such as Mexico City, Guadalajara, Nuevo León, Cancún and Mérida, but in the coming months it will reach the entire country.

We are sure that the inclusion of Corona Cero in our menu will offer guests of legal age the possibility of having a unique craving. We are taking a big step with the right strategic partner; We don´t have a confirmed plan, but this opens doors for us to do it in a more similar way and according to what customers are expecting”, mentioned Guillermo Hermosillo, Marketing Director for Burger King Mexico.

In addition, Bárbara Régis, Director of Communication for Burger King Latin America, mentioned that this same year a similar launch took place in the summer in Sweden and Denmark, in which it was a great success, so it´s intended to venture into other markets with this product.

For us, our customers are at the center of every decision we make and we know that product innovation is essential for them. This is the first time that we have brought an alliance of this type with a brewing partner and we have high expectations that the success of the results will make us expand the idea to other markets”, he mentioned.

For the announcement of this alliance, it is possible to see the hashtag #LaUnionDe2Reinos, as well as the logo formed by the crowns of both brands.

Likewise, a Tweet announced the arrival of this union, in which you can read “A new crown has arrived to the kingdom! From today you can change your drink for a @CoronaCero with 0% alcohol to accompany that 100% meat #Whoper. #LaUnionDe2Reinos
