Burger King request customers to order from McDonald's

Day by day Burger King leaves us to talk, just look at our past news to know that the most recent talk about the controversies with McDonald's.

Yesterday, Burger King United Kingdom posted on their social networks a statement to order at McDonald's, this did not take long to go viral until it reached Mexico and about an hour ago (6 pm) Burger King Mexico Posted the Tweet of a letter in which the description reads: “We never thought we would ask you for this.” Accompanied by a letter-type image that can be read:

ORDER FROM MCDONALD'S.

We never thought we´d be asking you to do this. Just like we never thought we´d be encouraging you to order from Domino's, KFC, El Califa, Carl's Jr., Bisquets Obregón, La Casa de Toño, Little Caesars, Sushi Itto, Fishers, Tortas Hipocampo, Vips... or any of the other independent food outlets (fast or not so fast).

We never thought we'd be asking you to do this, but restaurants employing thousands of staff really need your support at the moment.

So, if you want to help, keep treating yourself to tasty meals through home delivery, takeaway or drive thru. Getting a Whopper is always best, but ordering a Big Mac is also not susch a bad thing.” The statement concludes with the Burger King logo.

It´s worth mentioning that at the time of writing this note, Burger King Mexico is part of the first 11 places with more than 17.6 thousand tweets.

On the other hand, the only difference between the messages from the United Kingdom and Mexico, apart from the obvious language, is the format and that they were adapted to the main consumption of each country. For its part, the United Kingdom asked to buy, apart from McDonald's, KFC, Subway, Domino's Pizza, Pizza Hut, Five Guys, Greggs, Taco Bell, Papa John's and Leon.

Finally, it is important to mention that in Mexico Burger King is part of the ALSEA group franchises, as well as Domino's pizza and Vips, so it took the opportunity to include them in its statement, but this does not take away from the great gesture on the part of Burger King, which make us think they can get an advertising award this year.
