NASCAR CUP WILL BE IN MEXICO FOR THE FIRST TIME!

You heard correctly, the great category of motor sport in the United States has just announced, together with Daniel Suárez, that after several months of negotiations, The NASCAR Cup and the Xfinity will arrive at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez on June 14 and 15, 2025, representing the first time in the modern era that the Cup Series leaves the United States.

This is a historic moment for our sport, especially for the NASCAR Cup as it will be able to leave its mark in Mexico. We have been bold in our global growth strategies so there is no better option to take the next step on this path than racing at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City,” said Ben Kennedy, NASCAR executive vice president and chief racing innovation officer.

For his part, Alejandro Soberón, Founder and CEO of OCESA mentioned that “The arrival of the NASCAR Cup Series to our country is a reflection of the important growth that motor sport has had in Mexico, a work in which Escudería Telmex has put great effort. “I strive to promote the NASCAR Mexico Series and support drivers like Daniel Suárez.”

While the NASCAR Xfinity series had already set foot on Mexican soil in 2005 and 2008 (not counting the NASCAR Mexico Series), its premier category, the Cup Series, had never done so. Previously, it had only raced in Japan between 1996 and 1998, and once in Australia in 1988. Therefore, the arrival of the NASCAR Cup in Mexico will be a truly unique event.

You can't miss it!
