As the days go by Burger King leaves us more to talk about, this time it did it in France. We are a little late to the news, because this happened 3 days ago, on September 30.
As a marketing move and taking advantage of tennis player Rafa Nadal's victory over MacKenzie McDonald at the Roland Garros tournament with a score of 6-1, 6-0, 6-3, the French Twitter account published a Tweet that said “@RafaelNadal you´re probably still Hungry”, accompanied by an image with the player's victory, while the name that appears above Nodal was M. McDonald.
Meanwhile, the official account of Burger King Games (Spain) tweeted "I love tennis." while Nodal was winning, and after his victory he retweeted a post from ESPN's Sports Center with Nodal's victory, adding the following: "McDonald loses against the King, no matter when you read this"
In this campaign we can see that Burger King wanted to take advantage of this coincidence with the name of its greatest rival to troll him, remaining firm in its social media marketing campaigns.
